ABOUT TENNIS ACADEMY OF CALIFORNIA

Mission Statement  – Since February 2014, our mission at Tennis Academy of California (formerly Lizardo Tennis Academy – South End) has been to be the premiere tennis academy for developing well rounded, successful, high performance tennis players and young people. Each day we continue to accomplish our mission of developing a players overall character while emphasizing on court development by providing the proper guidance and tools necessary to progress from one development stage to the next in a competitive family oriented environment.

The Tennis Academy of California believes proper goal setting is essential for our student athletes to achieve their potential on the tennis courts and academically in school. We work with parents and students to build viable plans for the tennis student-athlete to reach their goals. The Tennis Academy of California requests each student and parent sign their own pledge of commitment to reinforce the determination and will needed to reach their desired tennis goals.

Casie Wooten

Casie is the Tennis Academy of California’s first enrollment. Casie always comes to training with a smile, ready to play and give her all. Although she has been relatively highly ranked throughout her So Cal Jr career (G10’s #5, G12’s #19, G14’s #36, G16’s #1, G18’s #3), she is always striving for improvement and helping the other players around her to improve. She has won some of So Cal’s most prestigious junior tournaments (Woody Hunt, Ojai, JP Yamasaki 2x’s) and participated in almost all of the significant National Tournaments (Easter Bowl – Doubles Quarter Finalist, Winter Nationals – Singles Quarter Finalist, Indoors and Hardcourts – Doubles Semi-Finalist). As the end of her junior career approaches, we are actively helping her explore her NCAA Division 1 opportunities. Update ~ She has committed to playing at Wake Forest University! Congrats! Go DEACS!

Ryan Son

Ryan has been steadily improving over the past year. He has recently broken into the top 100 B12’s in So California and played in his first National Level Tournament.
